The "better" team won

Well, it came down to penality kicks, and Germany took it. Argentina played great. Watching this game I did noticed some German player had a very bad attitude, and that does it for me.

I don't mind when my team loses, but when the winning team show's unsportmanlike conduct in any manner, it just pisses me off. Germany fought very well, but that's why I'm saying the better team won. I honestly think if the Argentine goalie wouldn't have gone down due to a blow to the ribs, allowing Messi to be substitued in that Argentina could've have pulled this off in OT, due to fresh legs.

But now onto the refs, they did a great job. A few calls were fishy, but overall it was great!! Now if soccer refs can see all of that on that size field the NBA refs have NO EXCUSE for not calling calls! lol

Well to all of you out there supporting Germany, good luck. I have no favorites anymore. Don't know who I think will take it. Good luck to all the remaining team as well.

Although this is a disappointing result, there is plenty of reasons to be proud for this Argentine team! I'm now a soccer fan, and will continue to support Argentina in the future!!

Argentina v. Germany

Hey everyone! For a "non-soccer" fan I sure did wake up "early" to watch the Argentina/Germany match. To all of you true soccer fans that actually had to wake up early, major props to you!!! The match started 10 a.m my time, which I admit isn't early, but seeing as how I was up until 2ish (don't ask me why, I just couldn't fall asleep)

Anywho, we're at the 30th minute mark and the match remains scoreless. It's been a very physical match today, but the refs have done an amazing job. Both teams have had some great looks at the goal, but haven't been able to capitalize and get it done. Size wise, Germany has the upper hand, but Argentina has equaled it out with their speed.

This game is going to come down to either an amazing shot, or a huge mistake. May the better team come out on top.

***EDIT***
Roberto ABBONDANZIERI, starting goalkeeper, goes out in the 2nd half with an injury.

At the end of OT, it is still tied 1-1. Penality kicks will decide who advances. I really think its going to come down to who wants it more. Its all about heart!

Attn Readers

Hey everyone, as you know I usually share Anderclips with everyone but I've come to the decision that I will not be posting them here; but never fear if anyone ever hears of any videos that they would like, feel free to send me an email at andernation@yahoo.com
and I'll see if I have that particular vid and will be more than happy to send them via email.

I try to check the andernation email daily, but sometimes I dont get around to it, so if I dont respond too quickly dont worry. I promise to get back to you in a timely manner.

BTW to all you myspacers out there that haven't joined the group Andernation: Due to recent events, I have implemented new settings to the group. It is now a private group, but if you would like to join please do. I'm still accepting members to the group!

Thanks for everyone's cooperation! Have a happy Thursday!

Thanks

So yeah, Anderson was live last night and what do you know, I missed it! Gaah, the downfall of actually getting out and doing something for a change I guess; but here comes the great part of it all. Without all the other Andercommunities and blogs out there to keep people informed about the show, where would people like me be? I would be so lost as to what happened on the show! So this is just a thank you to all the Anderforums out there. Keep up the great work!!!

I guess my room will sorta resemble the look of the group, but in reverse. My walls will be Chromium, and I'm accessorizing with black. Anywho, there's my randomness for ya! My FIRST ever World Cup Entry!

Ok, so I'm not really a soccer fan, but since the NBA season is over, I have nothing to watch. Well I was flippin through the channels the other day and caught Argentina playing against the Netherlands. It was a pretty decent game I suppose, nothing like their game against Serbia & Montenegro. Anywho, with the US out of the tourney, I had to choose a team, so I'm choosing Argentina. Why you ask? Well Manu Ginobili my all time favorite basketball player is from Argentina and I like their colors.

But with all that out of the way, I see so much talent on the Argentine team. They have some pretty young players too. For example Messi only turned 19 (I believe today actually) and is one of the youngest players to ever score a goal in a World Cup!

So Argentina is in over time with Mexico as I'm typing all this. They are leading 2-1 at the 16th minute mark of OT.

EDIT:
ARGENTINA WINS!!!! 2-1 Now Argentina will face Germany. Maxi Rodriguez was the player of the game, duh! He had the most beautimous game winning goal!! DANG!!

CHECK OUT MAXI'S GAME WINNER BELOW!!!

**UPDATES**

I want to first start off saying I hope everyone is enjoying their weekend! I myself got out of working tonight and I'm about to start painting my room haha. Anywho, on to the updates.

With Summer up and running, many of you may or may not be planning some vacations. If you are and dont really know where to get away to, maybe you should think about going down to help the cities devastated by Katrina. Sadly, many people have moved on from this story and there is still tons of work to be done. Check out Caring 4 Katrina to find out ways YOU can help!

Everyone is buzzing around the interview Anderson conducting with Angelina Jolie. I loved the interview, for many reasons, one being that it was real. Jolie spoke from her heart, and you can tell she isn't one of the celebrities that just join a cause to make them look better.

If you find yourself wanting to help the children around the world that live in such conditions as famine, consider partnering up with World Vision. I myself sponsor a little girl in Lesotho, South Africa, and I truly believe in World Vision, and trust the organization. For just $30 a month you can help change the world to one child. Maybe you and your friends could split the cost, or maybe you have the finances to sponsor more than one child. Please, check out WV today.

EDIT: These were from a while back I believe; if I remember correctly she said she found them recently. I'm not sure how long Dr. Gupta and his wife have been married, but these were not taken recently if I'm correct.

HAPPY FATHER'S DAY!!

Hey all you out there, just wanted to wish all the father's out there a Happy Father's Day!! I'm one of the fortunate people who still have their daddies around with them, I see my parents and just wonder what's going through their minds today, seeing as how neither of my parents have their parents around. I know it's sad, but God gives them strength and comfort knowing they are in a better place.

Have a great Sunday everyone!

Screencaps from last night's 360

Thanks to [info]legionpossessed for these caps!!

Yay for Young Ander-reporting!!! I love seeing early Anderson footage!!

OT: The Crocodile Hunter-Steve Irwin

Hey all you Ander-fans out there! So I didn't tune into 360 on Friday, anything fun and exciting happen?? Well hope everyone that watched enjoyed the show.

I'm sitting here watching Steve Irwin the Crocodile Hunter on Animal Planet, like I used to when I was younger! Great memories!!!! I was always an animal lover, but Steve totally changed my perspective on animal conservation; people want to save things that they love, so of course the cute, cuddly animals have no problem getting into our hearts, but its the magnificient not so "cute" animals that I've grown to love; the snakes, the crocodiles, the alligators, the lizards.

I admire Steve and Terry (his wife) for their love, and passion for animals, and hopefully one day I'll be able to express my gratitude personally to them in Australia.

THANK YOU STEVE AND TERRI for educating the world in wildlife conservation!!!!

Enjoy the pics!

This is TOO cute!

Ok so today I had a heart-to-heart moment with my dog Domino. Domino is really old now, I've had him for almost 11 years now, and I can tell that his legs are starting to feel the affects of arthritis, bless his heart. Domino is still full of life, and I'm glad his legs aren't holding him back all too much. I just hope it doesn't get to the point where he is just suffering, I don't think I'd be able to handle it. I love my baby with all my heart, and that's the last thing I want him to experience!

THEN a Phebe out at All Things Anderson posted the above image of Anderson and Molly...isn't it just TOO cute?!?!?! Here are some more images of Anderson and Molly to make this oh so cute moment complete!
